Mission

We use and display the relentless spirit of the American adaptive athlete to promote and instill, in ALL Americans, a fundamental belief that competition, camaraderie and athletics organically grow a sense of confidence, independence and purpose. 

 
 
 

History

Team Some Assembly Required (SAR) is a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization founded by veterans and comprised of adaptive athletes and their supporters; dedicated to the growth and expansion of competitive adaptive sports across multiple disciplines. Founded by Dale King and Derick Carver, former US Army officers, veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

2018 GOALS

  • Field the best group of elite adaptive athletes ever assembled
  • Connect with local communities to inspire young adaptive athletes 
  • Host first-ever Team Some Assembly Required competition
  • Raise $50,000 for continued outreach efforts and opportunities with direct support to the athletes
